Island reforestation

Healthy forests are essential to the resilience of Dominica’s ecosystems. Our reforestation work is rooted in community-led land stewardship, carried out in partnership with local landowners across Dominica. Through our Plant a Tree initiative, we support restoration efforts by providing native and fruit trees, along with ongoing monitoring and maintenance to help ensure long-term forest health.

Reforestation activities bring communities together during our Plant a Tree Days, where students, landowners, and volunteers learn about native species, forest restoration, and sustainable land management.

Our agroforestry approach combines native forest trees with fruit and soil-building species. This supports forest restoration while providing food, income opportunities, and healthier soils for local communities.

Kalinago Cocoa initiative

The Kalinago Cocoa Initiative is an Indigenous led agroforestry program focused on forest restoration and sustainable livelihood development within the Kalinago Territory. Grounded in traditional land stewardship and regenerative agricultural practices, the initiative advances cocoa-based agroforestry to protect biodiversity, support cultural continuity, and enhance community livelihoods.

Grow Love . Plant a Tree

This Valentine’s Day, celebrate love in a way that lasts. Through our Plant A Tree campaign, your gift helps restore forests, strengthen watersheds, and support community-led reforestation across Dominica.

Each tree is planted in partnership with local landowners and community members, contributing to healthier soils, thriving ecosystems, and sustainable livelihoods.

A single tree can grow for decades. Your act of love can too. Honor someone you love by planting a tree that grows far beyond Valentine’s Day.
